1- Go to Nikon’s website and download the Nikon Scan 4.0.3 drivers for Windows Vista 32-bit. Yes, Vista
32-bit.
I assume this means to simply download and SAVE (NOT RUN) the file "ns403en_vista.exe".
This is where I get confused. At this point in the sequence I do not (yet) have a folder structure \Nikon\NkScan4 under C:\Program Files (x86)\. I assume (I have not yet tried) that this folder will be created when I install the Nikon Scan software (i.e. run the "ns403en_vista.exe" file) as you instruct in STEP 4. So I have created a folder "Nikon Files" just as you have instructed, but I cannot continue with the sequence of instructions as specified in the Example.
Am I taking this too literally? Please help.![]()

Yes, download and save, then run
4- </B>Now install the Nikon Scan software you downloaded...
Aha, the lightbulb went on. This still leaves me with the, possibly redundant, question: What action am I meant to take at step 4:Yes, download and save, then run
4- </B>Now install the Nikon Scan software you downloaded...
Have I not already done that by running the file "ns403en_vista.exe"?
The remainder of instructions at step 4 are perfectly clear.

Sorry about the misspelled name, but you really are a star!
