Solved Google Chrome will not shut down - says 'not responding'

Hi.

I have a problem with google chrome. It froze on a page last night and said 'not responding'. I tried to close it normally. When I did it asked 'am i sure i want to end process'. I click yes and the timer appears but nothin happens.

I have tried:

- Shutting computer down completely
- Going into task manager to close application
- Killing all chrome-related processes in task manager

Nothing works. I also tried to uninstall chrome but it won't allow me to because it says it is still open.

Can anyone suggest how to close it please? I am on a Dell Inspiron and using Windows 7 Home

Hello yabeeb . Welcome to the Forums . This is quite odd that task manager will not shut it down.. It`s still saying Chrome is open ?

Problem solved. Sorry i was being thick. Had not shut it down/re-booted properly. Seems to be back on track now. Thanks for your replies
