Got my new case :)

I just got my new 600T White case in today, as well as my Seasonic PSU & RAM

It was killing me to see what it looked like powered up, and still another week before I can order the rest of my new build.

So, I moved the main guts of the old system into the new case w/the PSU.


Yea, Im impatient




TBH, the white actually looks much better in person than in pictures. Looks really nice IMHO.
Should look really nice once I get everything together and get the new components in it.



The PSU freaked me out a bit though.
When I powered it on the 1st time, the fan just twitched abit when and just stopped.

Apparently normal. The fan doesnt come on unless the unit is under at least 20-25% load, and if its needed.

Its also my 1st modular PSU. I certainly see why everyone loves them so much. Made putting everything together, and cable managent super simple.




Needless to say, after having a Antec 900 for last few years .. this thing is dead silent in comparison. Thing was far louder than I realized it was.

Lol, that's what I did when I got my Lian Li a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't help myself either

On my new system I have the Seasonic X650 Plus Gold. Seasonic makes PSU's for lot of other top vendors also. They make a great PSU. I looked at that same case then went with the Corsair 400R. Corsair makes some nice cases.Sure is fun to build when you can get the right parts.

I had to choose between the 600D white and the NZXT phantom.

I chose the phantom but only just! The corsair is gorgeous is white! It just didn't quite have the "gamer" look I like lol.

The corsair is gorgeous is white! It just didn't quite have the "gamer" look I like lol.

I agree that the Corsair cases are great. The 600T is one of my favorite cases period. Out of curiosity, what is the "gamer" look? I'm uncertain what makes a case gamer worthy.

Yes, I will be posting some pics for sure
I was just waiting untill I get the rest of the parts, so the pics will be of the complete build.
Rather than Pics now, and then again with the complete build.


Right now, the Motherboard/CPU is still needed for the main build. Plus, a few little extra things I still need to order and get in.
The build is nearly complete.


BTW, I was thinking of adding in a fan controller (Part of those extras)
The one this case has, does OK, but it has no way of setting fans individually. Its a All or nothing type controller.

Never really used one before, so any suggestions on one?
Was considering something like the Aerocool V12XT, but not sure.

I haven't kept up on what's out there, but one thing to consider is the rated output voltage of the 'individual' controller.

This is important depending on which fans you plan to use. Some may not have the 'oomph' to drive certain fans fully, like the 3000+RPM fans. Others, (like my sunbeam for eg) can allow you to daisy chain two 'slower' fans on one control or one big bugger.

They'll all do the job - some just a little better.

Actually it was.
I didn't really look at what they could handle per channel.

For example, the AeroCool ones seem to have 5 channels rated at 8W each.

I found a Sunbeam, 6 channel controller that says 30W per Channel!!
It only takes 1 bay, and is not as flashy but .. by looking at it it seems it very well may be the better controller in the grand scheme of things.

Hmmm... It does have me thinking.
The Sunbeam one also has just Knobs to turn. from what I can gather, they just light up green around the knob to show its active, and red if its not.

The AeroCool one is more flashy, and looks like you have to unlock, Select, adjust, the lock again just to change a fan speed.
That may actually get tiresome after a while.

As far as fan controllers I like the Aerocool Strike X. It runs 5 fans and shows all 5 at the same time. Also shows the RPM of each fan and has temp alarms.

Aerocool > Products > Peripheral > Strike X Panel

Also the NZXT Sentry LXE is neat. Has an internal controller card and the control display sits on your desk.

Yes it does. I just like to be able to see all the fans and temps at a glance without having to select each one.

Hey Wishmaster, have a look at "show us your rig 3" the second last page, i just got a new fan controller in, it supports 6 fans, uses 1 bay, has a brushed aliminium look and feel and is verry simple, no lcd, no flashy lights just smooth...lol the pic of mine ius on show us your rig 3 and they come in black and silver.

I have this one:

Aesthetically - yeah, not much chop and the blue LEDS are BRIGHT. But I manged to 'hide' it on the HAF and the Lian Li so I didn't have to look at it

But I chose it because of the 30W per channel vs all the pretty LCDS that offered much less grunt. I also had a shed load of fans at the time too

Newegg.com - Sunbeam PL-RS-6 Rheosmart 6 Fan Controller 5.25" Bay 6 Channel 30W Fan Controller Panel (Black) is the one I was looking at.

That looks like a newer version of the Rheobus. I think Red indicates manual control and Green for auto. You might be able to 'hide' it like I did in the HAF - Push it in as far as it goes and put the case 5.25 fascia back over it

That would get tiring quickly

They look the biz, but sometimes the 'old fashioned knob' really is better. It also gives you a little more 'variance'.
