Got my new case :)

The PSU freaked me out a bit though.
When I powered it on the 1st time, the fan just twitched abit when and just stopped.

Apparently normal. The fan doesnt come on unless the unit is under at least 20-25% load, and if its needed.

Its also my 1st modular PSU. I certainly see why everyone loves them so much. Made putting everything together, and cable managent super simple.

I did the same thing with my Corsair PSU (they are rebranded Seasonic). I was freeked out until I looked it up and saw if it was less then 300 watts the fan would stay off.

the case reminds me a bit of a stormtrooper

I can't remember where I read it but when I was looking around for a case and researching this one..

Apparently, at a show somewhere (before release) Corsair was showing it & had actually nick-named it the "StormTrooper Case"

It has a 200mm intake fan.
The 2 HD bays can be removed, or repositioned.

With the stock fan, airflow get choked a bit in the default position.
I moved the top HD bay, to left (on the floor) of the bottom one.

It helped some, but in the end I removed to bottom HD cage all together leaving just the floor mounted one closest to the PSU.

then moved my SSDs up to a 5.25" bay (Had a double mount bracket for them.
Improved Airflow alot.

Just got this pic from the interenet cuz Im lazy, but you can see how its setup.

The downside is the HD cage doesnt get quite as much airflow.



Biggest reason Im thinking of replacing that intake fan. It just doesnt seem to move as much air as it should.

Need one large PSU though! Seeings as the average high end card draws more than 300w, that's 900w for GPU's alone lol.

I wish GPUs had power connectors on the bottom as well as the top, as there's no "neat" way to run the cables.

EATX mobos might cause issues, but normal ATX mobos the card normally has a bit of overhang.

Well when I eventually get my "pc room" I want as many monitors as the walls can handle!! Sooo triple sli will be needed lol.

Think I'd have 3 32" monitors on the desk and a 60" for movies, and or for long bf3 sessions on the sofa lol

My wife nor my budget could handle all those monitors........Just envious by the way.

Lol hence the "when" I'm only 22 and not rich enough to buy into the UK house market.. So instead that money I should be saving gets blown on tech

Finally got everything together and up and running

So far so good, and working on a bit of OCing ATM.
Its a bit ridiculous how easily these things OC.

Im sitting at 1.27Vcore ATM, and 4.5 Ghz and it seems stable. Still need to do more thorough testing though. Im not sure if I can get lower voltages or anything yet.
I just set the Vcore at 1.28 in bios (1.27 in windows) and tried to see what clocks I could get out of it at that voltage.

Tried 4.6 to see what would happen, and IBT gave a error at the 5th pass.

I do need to clean up the wiring a bit, but wanted to be sure everything was OK. Just haven't got back to it
Will likely move the 2 SSDs down to the flor between the Intake and other HD cage, rather than up top below the BluRay Drive.

Probably the USB 3 cable from the front panel and is run out the back to the MB.

looks great Wishmaster. just from the pics I thought it looked funny a USB hanging out in the middle of the case

Im jealous. I want to build a new rig as mine has been hijacked by my wife for Aion since her mac cant play it..... so I am stuck with her mac till I either buy her one or make her one or make myself a new one and give her my old one (which probably wont end well) wish me luck!
