This is a strange one, we have about 7 Win7 Pro machine in our office along with 20 XP machines. From Computer Management>Local Users & Groups>Groups>Administrators we have Domain Admins assigned here but we also include Domain Users. Our server runs Windows Server 03 R2.

The first problem is that one 2 of the machines, the Domain Users is removed from the Administrator after every log off/on which in turn looses any permissions to install etc. We then have to log on as the local administrator, add Domain Users back in and then log on using our own profile.

The second really strange thing is it seems to be renaming these groups with an SID number instead of keeping the name Domain Users or Domain Admins names where the other 5 computers keep the name.

Any Ideas, as it is becoming very frustrating to not being able to install without having to reset these permissions.

Delete the machines from the domain group and re-add them.
If that fails, perform a re-image on those two machines.
