Hard drive shown as 2 disks - how to combine?

I've never cancelled or aborted a Clean All running process.
I don't know what might happen if you do that.
You could ask in the tutorial, Shawn Brink might know.

I would let it run however long it takes, probably overnight, and make sure i turn off auto sleep.

Clean All finished and diskpart continued to show the two parts of the same physical hard drive as two separate disks.

I have for now given up on this and formatted the two parts as two disks, one with 2 TB and one with the remaining 0.75 TB. Given the fact that Dell acknowledged in the meantime that their top of the line and high priced Alienware Area 51 desktop computer cannot deal with disks that are bigger than 2 TB this might be the best solution. Just noticed your thread. Your machine uses BIOS. Only UEFI (the new standard that replaces the old BIOS) supports disks greater then 2TB. Looks like you have a BIOS based machine

Your computer is showing all of your 3 TB drive so just use it. You would more then likely chop it up into partitions so what does it matter ???
