HAs my Win7 installation "glitched" somehow?

Recent install of Win7 x64 from an image onto my SSD drive.
(all updates and SSD firmware up to date etc)
I have a working firewall and I ran MS Security Essentials and nothing was found, so no virus' etc.

I changed the DPI of screen text as one of my Applications (Lightwave 3D) had very small menu text and I bumped the screen DPI up to 125% to see if it was better.

It wasn't (looked a bit Fisher Price!) so I put it back to 100%.

I started getting odd errors and a bluescreen and ran SFC /Scannow to see if there was any problem after the last batch of Windows updates.

SFC found errors. but said it was unable to fix them?
I rebooted and ran it again and it didn't find any corrupt files.

I rebooted again, only to find that the icons in my notification area were TINY and I could hardly see them on my 27" monitor set to hi res.

All seems to be working now, apart from teh above.
Any fix for this, be good to get them back to normal size!

thanks.

Is your display driver up to date, from optional Windows Updates or the Support Downloads webpage for your computer or adapter model?

Take a look at these recommended settings for SSD which may be needed: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/113967-ssd-alignment.html
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/70822-ssd-tweaks-optimizations-windows-7-a.html

If issues persist you can try a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html?ltr=R as a last resort before a http://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/125874-re-install-windows-7-a.html#post1086729 which is what might ultimately be needded.

thanks for that, good link to optimising my SSD.
Its no problem to reinstall from my image I suppose....

just would be good to know why the Notification Are icons have shrunk! :)

You might try rightclicking the task bar to see if unchecking this box helps:

If not, then try another display adapter driver.

unfortunately that didn't work.
My nvidia drivers are quite old...and I want to update my system image anyway so time for a driver update I think.

Thanks for your help.
