Has this install created a recovery partition?

My recent fresh install of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit was to a pre formatted drive and I was hoping it would not create a recovery partition. Is this screen shot enough to say if the install has, or has not created a recovery partition please? If it has, can i get rid of it from the SSD C drive? Thanks!

Hi,
Go to disk management and post a screen shot of it
If nothing it's probably a system reserved partition but your showing boot... under C which I am not and I have the system reserved 100mb partition.

Hi, thanks for the reply, here's a screen shot from Disk Manager, I don't believe it has created a partition, but nor do I recall the last install having the folder in the previous screen shot.

I see no Recovery partition. C is perfect :)

And that Recovery folder has 0 bytes, I wouldn`t worry about it.

OK thanks, what changes do I need to make to Permissions in order to be able to delete it please?

Scrub the above, seems it had no special permissions on it, it just deleted conventionally, I expected it to have lots of no delete protection! Odd?

Don't delete the hidden-contents Recovery folder. It's there for a purpose.

BTW I notice the hideous Win2000 grey graphics on and OS which has elegant Aero transparency that uses no more resources than turning it off. I'd go to Control Panel>Personalization and choose an Aero theme. You can even choose a fantastic backgrounds scenery slideshow. If Aero theme isn't available update your Display driver.

Make sure all Important and Optional Windows Updates are installed until no more are offered as these include numerous important patches. Someone running Win2000 graphics who deleted the Recovery folder is often tweaky enough to think they know better than Windows Update, however without an SP2 Win7 is so patched that if every last Update is not installed then you don't really even have complete Win7.

The OS compiled in Clean Reinstall Windows 7 demonstrates an install with everything that works best for Win7, and has been used by 1.4 million consumers without a single complaint and who have never returned with a problem if they stick with the tools and methods given.
