BF3 still downloading, loaded up Metro Last Light, screen went black and pc restarted.

Got minidmp attached.

Just remembered though it's not an optimal driver for the game, should i just try with the latest 320.49s again? they should work now?

Thanks

Hi,

Well that was quick!

Ok, it seems to be your Nividia drivers again.

Dated:Fri Mar 15 01:37:00 2013 ?!?!?

Can you confirm if your driver has been updated automatically?
Or is that the stable one you installed earlier?

I would suggest installing the stable driver I suggested, and forget about SLI for now
so we can determine if it is driver or Hardware.

You may try if you wish taking out one of the cards, running the game, see if you crash,
if you do not crash, swap the same card into the other PCIe slot you were using for the 2nd card you removed,
If no crash occurs, repeat with 2nd card. This will eliminate PCIe slots as a cause.

If you do not wish to dabble inside the case, we can try disabling each GPU in turn, then trying the game
and see if it crashes running just one card, then the other. This wont test the PCIe slots as such,
but will tell us if the problem lies with one of your cards or not / and perhaps a PCIe issue.

To disable GPU navigate to:
Start>Computer>system properties>device manager
Locate>Display Adapters and expand
Select your Graphics card
Right click and "disable" and it will ask you to confirm and reboot the system.

Make sure to switch off the mains and ground yourself before commencing any works:

:ar: http://www.wikihow.com/Ground-Yourself-to-Avoid-Destroying-a-Computer-with-Electrostatic-Discharge

Also ha20x22k.sys is still present  , can you confirm?:

Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\drivers and see if it is in the drivers folder.

Cheers

Dave

I know the cards are perfectly fine though as in system the day before they ran fine with the same psu.I was using 314.22s apparently though the crashes happen often in that game so may try another to see, thing is if i install the ones you say i can no way enable SLI which means i would have to change driver eventually. :p

Yeah the file ha20x22k.sys is there, no idea how to rid it now, also ha20x2k.sys too.

Shall i just try Metro Last Light again with 320.49s? like i said i am extremely sure cards fine is they were in previous system just over a day ago.

I am not sure though if that driver is linked to my Auzentech install, surely not i guess, do not want the sound vanishing lol.

Don't shout...I've got a Hangover!
Updated the network driver and chipset.

I think the nvidia driver crash was related to Metro Last Light which was buggy with that driver apparently so will try more games later.

The xbox driver was already updated from link you provided so i just reinstalled.

Renamed the creative driver but now i have no sound lol so i am unsure what driver i need for my Auzentech Forte7.1?

Asus Suite 3 is taking an enternity to remove for some reason, no idea why.(my components are left as they were after a fresh bios update all i did was enable XMP on the memory which sets it to recommended site settings)

Memtest i only ran for 1 pass then heat became unbareable to sleep in so i am just going to leave it on today whilst i go to work.....be about 9-10h test though lol.

Asus Suite III just doesn't seem to want to uninstall. should i try each programme seperate then the whole programme?

Off to work now will leave Memtest running, hopefully 9-10 hours isn't too long and doesn't cause issues lol.

Thanks for all help so far.

Hi,

Ok, just rename the driver back from ha20x22k.sys.old to ha20x22k.sys
Reboot and your sound should return. :)

You may need to update that program if possible, as its driver is causing issues.
I will try to locate a driver for you :)

To fix Metro Last Light, you can run a "Verify game files" from the Steam library.
Right click the game title/click properties/ click local files tab/ click Verify local game files.

For the Asus Suite and all other bloatware follow this tutorial:

:ar: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219576-clean-up-factory-bloatware.html

cheers

I heard there's pax drivers for the card not sure if they are good but I need one that works fine lol.

Yeah I know about the verify files but the game has known crashes with the driver so I am just going to try latest once everything else done and if they do I will try the 306.23 ones.

Hmmm from reading the bloated windows link seems like a reinstall is best but dont really wish to do.Was it related to any of my bsods? Will check memtest once home.

Reinstall or repair install maybe an option a bit down the line, but not just yet :)

The bloatware is best removed, but was not directly linked to BSOD.

Check your SSD Firmware, see if it is up todate.

And lets see if memtest picks up any errors.

cheers

Will try uninstall the bloated software will be on the pc in 20-30mins did you find a driver for the soundcard?

I have Samsung magician installed is the driver amongst that? It's the latest.(checked it says latest firmware)

Thinking of removing the forte and using onboard sound which is good on this board.

Thanks.

Ok, good news on the memtest, can you elaborate on the RAM timings?

The only driver I could find was from here, but I suspect you have the latest:

:ar: http://www.auzentech.com/site/company/pressrelease_09092011_new_driver.php

As you have removed forte, can you please navigate back to the drivers folder and confirm
if the driver ha20x22k.sys is present or not?

How is the system now you have removed forte?

Cheers

Dave

The timings were 15-15-15-31 or around that and triple channel, in bios XMP is enabled which is recommended and sets it to 10-10-10-27-2T i think it could just be memtest not displaying it correctly.

That driver is still there but i put .old on end of it so it's disabled now i think? system seems a lot better just getting blackscreen crashes with flashplayer that seems for sure it's Nvidia related though no bsods so far.(i've only been able to test for about 2-3h though after work yesterday however some bsods could occur often within 20-30mins before)

Should i use Driver Fusion and sweeper again remove Nvidia files then install latest just to test them out? (i do not understand why 314.22 would blackscreen on Flashplayer when in my previous it didn't, all i've upgraded was board/ram/cpu/cooler/ssd before i had i7 920 at 4ghz for 4 years with a gigabyte ud3r and corsair 1600mhz only saw a few bsods overclock related that i soon fixed)

Hi,

Not sure about the timings to be honest. Perhaps just memtest reporting wrong as you say.
If they are correct in the BIOS then they are correct :)

If you renamed ha20x22k.sys to ha20x22k.sys .old it will be disabled...just don't delete it for now.

For Nividia drivers I would suggest the stable 306.23 driver as a test :p, but I know
your keen on the SLI, so you could try the latest drivers as the BSOD issues may
have been rectified by uninstalling Forte and updating the various drivers, so it may well
be worth a try, just set a system restore point before you attempt it.
Then test the system, use normally, games etc.

If you do experience another Nividia related crash then we need to test with the 306.23
stable drivers, if you crash with the 306.23 drivers then the problem lies elsewhere.

What is the current status of the GPU's BIOS's, are they up-to-date?

cheers

Dave

Don't shout...I've got a Hangover!
I will try the latest once on pc tonight if they crash I might just reinstall with all latest drivers and onboard installed this time.

Not sure which bios vers the gpus are as I never have touched and I do not think that will do anything?

Thanks so much for help so far it's a wonderful system once everything sorted.

Ok no worries, fingers crossed :)

Leave the GPU BIOS for the time being, I was just curious as to
what version was installed on each card and if they were up to date.

Good luck.

Metro LL had 6 files failed to validate haha turned out to be 3.5gb worth too! will have to try after work tomorrow otherwise 100% on Sunday, work tired me out today and with the heatwave too.

PC does seem more stable, i downloaded 326.19 betas released only yesterday so hope they turn out good.

Will test for sure after work tomorrow, will report back.

Thanks for all this made me feel better, annoying when you spend a lot on new pc parts and some things can cause crashes.
