Hello

I've been trying to partition my hard drive to install a second OS but I already have 4 partitions on my HD: One partition named "BOOT"(C:\), one OEM recovery partition(D:\) and two hidden partitions --> screenshots in attachement(made using easeus partition master)
I have enough room on C:\ to create a new partition but I will need to delete/merge at least one partition: Is this possible, if yes witch one should I remove/merge

Note: I do have a second, external HD but it is conected via USB2.0 and windows won't allow me to install it there.

Thanks in advance
Bavo Luysterborg

Hello mate.

Have a look at Method Two of this tutorial at the first link below, I would use the Partition Wizard Boot Disk (PWBD) and nothing else, I would not trust any other software to do this; be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

Partition / Extended : Logical Drives

First download the PWBD ISO file to the desktop, be sure to get the PWBD and not the installed version; scroll down to see the download link for the bootable CD ISO file at this link below.

Partition Wizard Free Bootable CD

Then use ImgBurn to burn the ISO to a CD, at no greater than 4x speed with a verify; it was designed for use and works best from a CD rather that a DVD then boot the created CD to make the changes.

Easeus can do the same job - I think you need the pro version for that tho.

Seems pretty stable to me so far, it's worth a play! ;)

If you boot it on real hardware put it on a Logical drive.

If you boot it on real hardware put it on a Logical drive.
If any, I would put it into vBox - although I saw that there seems to be a problem with the Guest additions.

Some are getting it running in VBox without issue, I couldn't get it in VBox or VMware so I installed it to my main machine on a Logical drive so it wouldn't/couldn't mess with the "System" boot files.

It's just fine as a normal dual/multiboot boot.

Exactly the same as if you multiboot Vista and 7, or 7 and 7 - it's all nt6 - no problems at all.

Win 8 is realy worth downloading
I couldn't get it to run in any virtualization software that's why I wanted to create a new partition to dualboot it
