Solved hdd install

I have just reformatted my os. I have now installed another hdd but it is not showing my computer

Is it showing up in Disk Management?

Hum did you format the new one before you installed it? If not I use this on all drives -

Many thanks problem fixed.I have never know a forum like this, for how quick you get your problem solved,
and being 79 years of age and not IT savvy its a God send.

Hi went into device manager found the hdd put a letter prefix on it ,then went into my computer and there it was.Hope you can understand.
