Use partition magic or similar program to get the drive space back.
I wish you would stop those unqualified posts that do not contribute to the solution of the OP's problem.
if you had paid attention to the pic the op posted there is no lost space, which has been stated previously in this thread. partition 1 = 222.33 gigs, partition 2 = 10.55 gigs for a total of 232.88. on all hard drives the space used for the file system is roughly 7%, there is no getting around it. so on a 250 gig hard drive that comes to 17.5 gigs used for the file system. now we have 17.5 + 222.33 + 10.55 = 250.35. this accounts for all of the space on the drive.
here is the hard drive capacity calc that theog posted. it is accurate.
