Solved HDD partition not found on new install

Update: It fixed itself, HDD works.


I installed a new HDD on a Lenovo B50, and am running windows 8 ISO bootable. Problem is when it came to selecting drive, "could not create a new partition or locate an existing one." At first there was 465 GB unallocated space, and this error occurred, so my other option was to click "new", and it is a now a primary one. But windows OS install still does not locate it.

You accidently posted in the Win 7 forum. I suggest posting in the Eight forum.

For what it's worth, it sounds like the new drive isn't formatted.
