HDD vs SSD vs SSHD

Hello,

recently I've acquired an alienware m14xr1 with an i7 core 12GB RAM, 3GB VRAM, 120GB SSD. It's a second hand computer.

With original SSD, the boot was literally 2 seconds. To expand the capacity, I've decided to replace the SSD with a 750gb 5400rpm hdd, and I must admit that I regret cheaping out on getting a 1TB SSHD with 8gb cache.

With the HDD, boot takes about 64 seconds, vs 2 seconds on SSD. According to defraggler, 35% fragmentation, I am going to run a defrag over night tonight. In the future, when the cost decreases(due to advancing technology) I wish to:
1. replace the hdd with a 1~2tb SSHD, fresh install/clone(I regret being cheap, but hdd costed 1/2 of sshd, and I had good experiences with a 500gb 7200rpm drive. Still if I got the 1tb sshd, I wouldn't have to wait a minute for my computer to boot)
2. 120~240gb SSD, with current hdd or a larger one to replace the optical drive.

Now, replacing to SSHD may happen in the next couple of months. Question, is there a windows based freeware to clone about 700gb to a 1tb sshd without compromising boot? I'm somewhat proficient at linux, and I have two usb3 connectors for HDD/SSD which I can utilize.

I'm getting lazy and don't want to review my cloning projects.
