Hi, this is kind of a problem p, i currently do not have a monitor so I am using a tv for the time being. I am connecting my desktop to my tv with a hdmi cable and today when I went to go turn it on it came with no signal. I tried switching it off and on, plugging it out and back in but it still did not work. I needed up switching them around so the one that was in the tv was in the desktop and vice versa. Then I was like  and I wasn't sure how that fixed it, I am new with desktops and so I'm not that experienced and always worried about everything. If someone can please explain it to me, I will be most grateful, thank you.

Both ends are the same so it had to be a bad connection. All it takes is a bit of lint or dust on one of 19 pins to disrupt the signal. And the wires inside the cable are VERY small. If the cable gets moved a lot, that can break a wire.

Is why did it happen in the first place, and is there any solution. Thank you.

Hi, sorry yeah, also it keeps happening, but I'm starting to worry. When I turn on my computer, my current pc was built by novatech, it comes up with novatech and the logo. So I know it's not the hdmi but maybe the computer, and it takes me 10 minutes to keep unplugging all the wires before it finally works, please can someone help me, if it is my pc I don't want anything to happen to it.

If you're using the TV as a display full time, be sure to turn on the TV first. Also be sure the TV's input has been set to HDMI before turning on the PC. If you're already doing this, without exception, try using a different HDMI cable. If the problem continues, go on to the step below.

Follow the instruction in the BSOD Tutorial except upload the file to this thread. I'm not concerned about any dump files (step 1 can be skipped) but the balance of the info in the file may help diagnose your problem. Use steps 2, 4 and 6 but post the file here.

Also, post the brand and model of the TV.
