HDTV wont work with windows 7?!?!

Ok during the install my HDTV went blank on me. I figured out i had to switch to an actual monitor....Ok so even after the install it still wont work on my HDTV. The VGA worked fine with Vista. Then i install windows 7 and BOOM!.......any suggestions?

You are connecting via VGA? If your connectors permit, connect via DVI. My monitor also has HDMI. but won't work via a DVI-HDMI cable. I guess that is only for a video card that has an HDMI output. Another possibility is S-Video, if both the video card and HDTV are equipped with it.

Are all your drivers upto date? If they are then I would look at connections next to make sure none are loose. Then try using the fn + f8 key. If you still don't get a picture make sure t.v. is set to p.c or VGA. Then I would try changing the resolution options in Nvidia. Good luck.

Ok i updated my drivers and yet to no avail, my hdtv still wont work with windows 7..........i thought windows 7 was suppost to make things easier.....that was a fat lie.....No wonder everyone i know is getting a mac.....any other suggestions?

I figured it out! It appears you have to switch the res from 60Hz to 74Hz or else it wont work on HD.....
