Hide the hidden icons from the system tray

There is one or two programs I want running on the background which I don't want appearing on the system tray. However, the little triangle pop out menu where they hide is even more frustrating.

Is there any way to remove it(without the hidden programs inside it appearing on the system tray)? Thank you in advnace!

If you right click on the triangle and select properties, you can turn off icon notifications - does that help?

No. This is actually the very action that moves the icon inside the triangle thing. Just so we are on the same page, this is the action I am referring to:
