Hi guys, yesterday when I open my PC, after I type my password I noticed a high CPU usage around 90 - 100%. Core temp was normal 34 - 37 only. I let it be for a couple of minutes thought maybe it will be gone but it didnt. So i decided to shutdown my pc for 15mins and open it again, and it works fine. No high CPU usage. I run malwarebytes after and found nothing. Tried to restart again for 2 more times and it runs fine.

Has anyone experience this High CPU usage? What could be the cause of it?

Yesterday were released some critical patches related to dotnet 4, if your computer installed them, then it was compiling some stuff post installation.

You have to check in Task Manager or Resource Monitor > CPU tab which processes keep the CPU busy. Without this information it is impossible to tell. And if it is a svchost.exe, you have to further explore the details with Process Explorer because the svchost.exes are generic.

maybe that is the cause of the problem. After i restart my computer everything is back to normal.

I'll keep that in mind. If ever this happens again i can provide information about the problem.

Maybe OldMX is correct about the patches.

Thanks for your time guys :)
