Hi all,
Been a while since I last logged in,
I have recently wanted to setup a media server on my windows 7 machine as I have backups of old videos and family photos etc on their. For this I have used emby media server and set it up.
I have disabled remote access. As I only want to access the content via Lan or WiFi on Android based devices while at home.
To enable direct share I have had to create a homegroup in Windows 7 and put the network path in the emby media server library to allow direct share.
Question I do have is. How secure is this? Can it be accessed by someone who is not on our local network for example? The router has a wpa wpa2/psk password set.
I have the homegroup share thing setup for local network
Thanks in advance
Rob
