I'm having an annoying problem with an older game (Battle of Britain 2: Wings of Victory), but one that I play a lot. Basically, it doesn't seem to want to run well using any 'official' ATI driver. The only time it runs (perfectly) is when I reinstall Windows and allow it to download a driver for my card - then the game will run with zero slowdown on maximum settings. I've just upgraded my specs, but I want to be able to play this game as well as newer ones.
Is there any way to get Windows to download an ATI driver without reinstalling Windows? I've removed all trace of ATI drivers from my system - will Windows now detect that the system is in need of the driver and download it?
Specs:
New Specs: Gigabyte Z87-DS3H, CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K 3.40ghz, GPU: AMD HD 6850 1GB, RAM: 8Gb Corsair DDR3 1866mhz Vengeance, Sound: Audigy 4, O/S: Windows 7 64bit Home Premium, PSU: Corsair TX650v2
Thanks in advance.
