How can I load drivers - without an admin logon

Hello all,

I am trying to load a mobile broadband dongle onto my laptop.

However it will not load the drivers from the dongle. I am pretty sure it is because I am not an administrator of the laptop.

As I am installing the dongle it tries to load and download the drivers however I get an access denied.

I have tried to log on locally using net user administrator/:yes and I also get access denied.

I do not know the admin password (it's a work laptop) however most of my colleagues have loaded a dongle with no issue.

I have also tried to manually transfer the drivers from one laptop to another ! however they still will not copy.


Any help is muchhhh appreciated.

Hello Dinzy, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Sorry, but you will need to talk with the IT manager or department at your work to have them install it instead, if they will allow it.
