Solved How can I remove this partition...?

Hello,

I removed my Seagate Momentus 500GB 7200.4 from my laptop and chenged it with a Plextor SSD! So, what to do with my seagate hdd? Yes, I bought a esata to USB 3.0 case and intall it! Great stuff and very easy to make!
In disc management I found that (of course) the seagate had the 3 partitions from factory (my laptop is a Toshiba).
Please try to see the image for disc 0.
No problem removing the right partition from System C but I'm unable to remove the one at the left!!!
Is this one still needed? If not, how to removed and gain 1.46 GB ?

The left partition is your boot partition.

Hi paulo. From your screen shot it appears that you are booted up from your old HDD, as I don't see your SSD in the list. Is that correct? Also, I assume that when you installed the OS on your new SSD, you didn't have the old HDD hooked up to the system at the time? That you don't want to be able to boot the OS from the old HDD anymore? If all that is true, then boot up from your SSD and hook your old HDD up via your esata to USB 3.0 case. Then use the following tutorial to make your old HDD inactive. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/197157-partition-mark-inactive.html. Once that is done, you should be able to delete any partition you want from the HDD. If windows doesn't do it, you can use a partitioning software, like Partition Wizard, or Easeus Partition Master to do the job.

Once you have done what Little Jay suggests, you can also reformat the whole drive into NTFS - Use quick format (in Disk Management).

No Jay, it is not correct sorry, my fault! That image was taken when the hdd still was in the laptop . Now I've removed the right partition but I cannot remove the left one!

OK, then follow the rest of the instructions I gave you in my previous post. After making the HDD inactive you can delete any unwanted partitions and keep the ones you want, or reformat the entire drive and create a new one.

I followed and the result is that the partition is inactive but I still could not delete it!

OK, is there any reason you want to save the F partition on your HDD? If not, you can use the clean command in diskpart to wipe the MBR. After that, you will have to initialize the HDD and create a brand new partition. I can walk you through the steps if you like. Or you can try Partition Wizard, or Easeus Partion Master to delete that partition and resize the existing F partition.

I found the tutorial on using the clean command here http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/52129-disk-clean-clean-all-diskpart-command.html. I wouldn't advise using "clean all" because it would take many hours to complete and it isn't necessary to wipe the whole drive. After that, if you go into disk management windows will tell you one of your disks needs to be initialized and you can let it do its thing. When it is finished initializing you can create the new partition.
