How can I save current windows state?

Hi, I'm looking for a feature similar to windows suspend/virtual machines's save state.
I wish to resume my work without going through opening and all databases and files again in the next day.
I have been using windows suspend instead of shutdown so I can easily keep on where I left last night. But this is unpractical as ram will go and go away, my system starts to slow down after a couple of days.

Have searched for a while on google and found nothing. If someone has knowledge about such thing, it would make my life much easier.

I assume you mean Sleep when you say suspend in Win 7.

I see the opposite when I use Hybrid Sleep - on wake-up less RAM is used than before going to sleep.
Maybe you are using programs that have a memory leak?
Do you have an issue with all programs, or just some specific program(s)?
I do see some programs use more memory over time the longer I keep them open.
MS Office Outlook is one program I have that uses more RAM each day it is open.
I can exit it and re-start to clean up RAM used ...

Windows has the hibernation feature just for that purpose. What it does is just to copy the whole memory contents to the hard disk before turning off. When you turn it on again, all the open programs, in the very same state, are there as you left them.
It should not use more or less memory than just leaving everything running. I've been using it for a lot of time without any problem.

I've been using Sleep, Hibernate, and Hybrid Sleep for apx 4 years with Win 7.
For me less RAM is usually used after wake-up than before going to sleep...
I let Windows manage memory...and this is something I've noticed...
The Windows session (state) works without errors for all open applications and unsaved data...

The OP has not replied - I hope I didn't scare him away with to many questions...
