Hi, thanks for your kind support,
to improve the safety of my server I would like to use RAID1 (present on board), today I made the clone but I realized it cannt boot. I need so the driver for RAID, but how can I install it? Actually only Mini WinXP boot from flash (mini win10 frozen as soon it finished to load files from USB to RAM) and I probably need to use it to edit some files in the RAID clone, maybe add the driver, maybe change something somewhere, maybe registries.. but how can I edit those registries?
Do you have ideas? Thank you!

Here I've found the driver for boot, if I install them using the .msi file when the PC is booted into "IDE" mode, will it install if there aren't RAID devices present? (if I enable the controller in RAID I have BOSD into startup) And will it be enough to boot nest time with the RAID cloned copy?
Thanks

Thank you for your kind answer, I cloned to raid already and I don't want to use original disk for experiments, if I boot with mini winxp and I use inf2reg tool (and manually copy files to win folders) do you think it's possible it will boot in raid? Thanks

I do not think that will work. I'll tell you why. It is not just a matter of installing the correct drivers. You also need to "tell" the registry that you are using RAID/AHCI drivers, instead of using IDE drivers. Windows registry uses this information to speed up the boot, at start-up. The change to the registry is a manual "experiment" if you are the nervous kind, otherwise, if you are feeling confident, it is a straight forward change - I will not pursued you.

This procedure is all explained in the web link I provided. If you want to double check, then here are a couple more links with the same procedure:
How to change from IDE/AHCI to AHCI/RAID *without* reinstalling windows
How to Change SATA HDD Mode from IDE to AHCI / RAID in BIOS after Installing Windows

Thank you, amazing post! It seems really easy to do, and thanks God j can take advantage of many hours of experience of other people. I have one question, if I change the registry without install the driver (actually I can't install it if I'm not booting from that disk, but I can try to copy files somewhere) will windows boot? Does it boot in a standard way and let me install drivers later? If so it will be fantastic!
