How cool is too cool?

Yes I have scratched the refrigerated freon pipe system. I had no trouble keeping the condensation from the inlet and outlet pipes out of the system (tubed double pipe). I could never keep the condensation at the cpu block under control with numerous attempts at a solution (damn those little drops of water....). When the temperatures were raised high enough, the condensation would not be a problem but that defeated the whole purpose of my experiment. So, this has been put on a back burner until I can read some more up on what some other people have done with refrigerated systems.
I did find a damaged Jager machine on craigslist (top and dispenser broken, chiller works perfect) that I am going to add into a water loop and see what happens. Thanks for all the insight and opinions!

Well if you dropped the phase change idea (you need to insulate the socket surrounds with kneaded eraser rubber) no matters.
For supplying a non stop chilled water solution you could adapt a Aquarium cooler for use.And use "dialetic?" grease in the socket just to be safe. Do you intend to O/C your CPU?
If your not then I fail to see the point of doing this really but whatever.

I have an excellent idea for a truely silent and highly effective watercooling system not sure if it's been done but i havent seen it if it has.

Instead of worrying about reservoirs radiators pumps and fans in a closed loop, just have an open loop from the watermain going straight to either the rainwater drainage system or if you have one a rainwater reservoir or water reclaimation system.

Many uk residents (myself included) do not have a water meter and recieve an estimated bill based on the property size and number of occupants. and it wouldnt have to be a high flow system, with more effective cooling coming from low pressure drop systems. Flowrate could be minimal as it's not going to take time to aircool the water again before it goes back round te loop. Yeah were trying to be ecomentalist over here, the collected rainwater is usually just for flushing the toilet or watering the garden (we dont drink and bathe in the stuff).

And if you take your PC to a LAN then you take your watermain and rainwater tank with you I assume

lol I do mean connected to the watermain so no rain required. The rainwater tank was simply an attempt at being more economical with the waste water.

Yes taking it to a lan meet would prove to be troublesome but it's not something I do anyway. I'd be the only machine in the kitchen as i'd need the power point and a tap (with one of those rubbish hosepipe to tap connectors) and my outlet tube going to the plug hole.
