the recording program is fraps and all i am trying to do is record some videos and every time the video reaches 4gb it restarts the recording so my video comes out in 1min 30sec segments
i just got this new computer today, on my old one i could record for aslong as i like so its something onthis computer, its probly quite simple but im just missing something
Probably tied to old limitations of maximum file size on FAT32 partitions.
No such 4GB file size limit exists on NTFS partitions, which is why you should be using only NTFS partitions for "recordings" and other video editing use where huge file sizes are involved.
Would your hard drive happen to be formatted FAT32??? If so, you can use Partition Wizard to convert the partition from FAT32 to NTFS and be done with this story.
