How do I count the fan power

Hi, im back with some more and probably annoying questions, I would like to use something like the link bellow but the description states that (When using in conjunction with a fan controller / motherboard header, be sure your controller can handle the total power of the combined fans) so that got me a bit confused, I understand that I add up the watt on the fans, but how do I know how much my PSU and the cable can handle? I am planing on using a molex to 3 pin connector that comes with noctua fans, could I use 2 of those on the same cable to then add the splitter to, or do I want to use 2 cables and use 1 molex to 3 pin on each cable? I am using a Corsair HX650 PSU and I tried looking at their site under specifications but that info made no sense to me

Andreas W,
You really have little to worry about with two fans connected. The issues are more geared for hooking up lots of fans like more than 4 to one fan controller terminal. I for one have three Noc's running off one 12v on my PSU and I always run them wide open with zero issues.

Wow weird, I tought I answered, was wondering why I never got a reply back but obviously something happen so my post dissapeared, oh well need to rewrite it then.

What I want to do is run about 9-10 noctua fans on 1 single molex cable, I counted the total watt from all the fans and it would be around 11.xx watt so should I be safe only using 1 cable, and if its to much stress on 1 cable would the computer boot up at all then or just refuse to boot?

I don't believe it would effect the mobo at all. It might cause all 10 fans off (1) 12v molex off the PSU to run slower but I doubt it will. Now incorporating the fan controller into this mix could be an issue, again the fan controller will have to be of a high quality and have a healthy rating for continuous amperage.

Ok, and since I wont be using a fan controller at all there is not really any issue since 1 cable is capable of 12w right? and I do have enough fans so if they run a bit slower wont really matter I belive much temp wise, could be nice thou maybe a bit less noise.

The OP has filled all available spots and though one could argue it's something when I acquire my 800D I'll do as well. When you run the Noctua fans and you get a sense of the quiet performance they afford you begin to find all the places you can place one.

I have to wonder why you need that many fans anyway ?

Main reason is my tiny *** room that I have with no air circulation so if I can spend some money on fans that try get my components as cool as possible to save myself from needing to buy new ones because they overheat is something I feel its worth to do, and the second reason is because I am bored and want something to do and think doing these kind of things are fun.
