OK what I need to do is complicated. I have been searching for hours and cannot come up with a solution.
I have a computer with Windows 8 Pre-installed. It has a recover partition. I have disabled UEFI in the BIOS until I can finish installing Windows 7. I do not have any blank DVDs or access to a USB drive. What I want to do is delete the files in the Windows 8 recovery partition and put Windows 7 installer there. Then boot from that and replace Windows 8 with Windows 7. I have the drivers already downloaded to go onto the recovery partition. I have been unable to find any resources online to do this. I already Have a Windows 7 ISO ready to go.

shrink win8 partition and create a new partition (at least 5GB) in the unallocated space and one size 45GB. Format 5GB partition NTFS. Extract the ISO to that 5GB partition. Mark 5GB partition active. And try to boot. When booting do a clean install to 45GB partition. Post back when done.

This is very dangerous btw. If you don't be able to boot from dvd or usb.... you can't mark original partition active in case it fails.

In Windows 7, this feature is installed on all computers, and is stored in the 200MB partition if you install using a single partition scheme. However, if you install on a drive that has multiple partitions, the recovery environment is stored in a folder in the root of your installation drive, so if you install to a partition with a label of C:\ it will be located at C:\Recovery.

To access the System Recovery Environment in Windows 7, simply boot your PC, just before the system loads the Windows operating system; hit the [F8] Function 8 key on your keyboard which will launch the Advanced Boot Options menu. There you will see a new option 'Repair Your Computer', select this option and hit 'Enter' on your keyboard.

As OP has a uEFI GPT HDD drive setup, there is no ACTIVE partition.

Also by shinking C:, the C: & the new partition will be converted to Dynamic partitions.

is there a way i can install windows 7 onto a separate partition without removing windows 8 and keeping UEFI intact for testing?

"I do not have any blank DVDs or access to a USB drive." It's none of my business as to why you don't have access to a USB flash drive. However, my preferred way to install Windows is from one. It has the advantage of installing significantly faster than from a DVD.

They're readily available now for significantly less than $10. (4GB is large enough. 8GB is getting to be the common size.) Unless you enjoy the gymnastics, get a USB flash drive.
