I was hacked recently & reinstalled Win7. After doing so, I discovered port 22 is still open. I can't figure out what service is keeping it open. I checked System & Security > Admin Tools > Services, but there's nothing listed under "SSH," & none of the services titled "Remote . . ." are running.
Am I misunderstanding? Is my router keeping 22 open by itself? I forwarded 22, but if there's a service keeping it open, I'd really like to kill it. I'm worried this is another potential threat.
I also can't stealth any of my ports, whether I'm using Windows Firewall or Comodo. Is this because the router firewall isn't stealthed (it's a Linksys E900)? There doesn't seem to be any way to close ports via the router, let alone stealth them - only port forwarding.
I know I have some of my concepts muddled, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
