How do i get my folders back to its original appearance

Months ago i installed something(i forgot whats its name) that changes on how the files on the folder will appear, the files will rolls down instead of just showed up when you open a folder.
And now i want to change it back to its orig, but i cant, i tried to look for the thing that i installed but i cant find it anywhere on the system, i cant just revert my laptop to earlier time coz i got so many important files.

Hope somebody could help me

I speak under correction, but an sfc /scannow should do it:

1. Click Start

2. In the search box, type cmd
3. In the list that appears, right-click on cmd.exe and choose Run as administrator
4. In the command window that opens, type sfc /scannow and hit enter.

Hello Golden..

I followed your instruction but im stucked at 17% and then an error says "windows could not perform the requested operation"
I tried to google it and it leads me to an article to see the log file of the sfc, they are all "VERIFY COMPLETE" until the last line its only "beginning verify and repair transaction" it has no VERIFY or something and theres no some kind of saying "ERROR blah blah blah"
Please help me

Im afraid i cant do that method because i dont have any kind of CD/DVD repair disk.

No worries. You could create a System Repair Disc to boot from to do that with if you like.

Before i do this i have a question..
By using this system repair disc, will my files be affected?
Because based on my mind system repair disc will revert my laptop to an earlier time and will delete everything after that time

No what the system repair disc it only allows you to boot to the recovery options window to help you fix boot issues . It will not touch your files .

W7navi , a startup repair disc is like a GUI WinPe disc you could capture images deploy images from the command prompt using the disc . You just can't install Windows with the Startup disc .
