Solved How do I get rid of this grey bar from windows explorer?

Hi
How do I get rid of this grey bar? I don't remember what I did but I ended up with this grey bar on the bottom of windows explorer. Its really useless since it only tells you the number of items and I already have the details pane for that. Please help.

With the Windows Explorer window in focus, press the Alt key to temporarily display the Menu bar.

From that Menu bar, click on View and then click on Status bar.

That should remove the check that was by the View > Status bar option.

That should remove the Status bar from the Windows Explorer window.

Some people prefer to turn off the Details pane and keep the thinner Status bar.
