How much space does XP need?

lol, I'm still using it on my backup rig, with a RAID card. It's got a floppy drive in it though, so no problems for me.

the problem isnt IDE, still bluescreening another thread i read on this reckons that the hard drive needs to be unpartitioned and formatted first, so ill give it a go when i get my new hard drive next week

I saw this mentioned in another thread and thought I would mention it.
Windows XP mode no longer requires hardware vitalization technology to run. Microsoft is offering an update to bypass that requirement. I guess enough people complained. If you go to the download site for XP mode you should see a third download once you select your OS and language.

thanks alphanumeric im already running XP mode this was jsut a distracting side project that kind of spiralled a bit, i dont like it when things dont work i have to find a way to make them work im a bit OCD like that :roflmao:
