How do I adjust the screen image position within Win7 please? I think I somehow adjusted the position when my old monitor was playing up, but can't remember what I did.
I need to move the horizontal position; currently if I 'auto adjust' the image it moves to one side and I have to manually adjust the monitor to bring it back to center.

Just realized you're probably talking about your monitor hardware settings :o
I haven't messed with those in years with my current setup.

Have you looked at "Screen Resolution" when right clicking on the Windows desktop?
Make sure the Display is set your current monitor...
Maybe the old monitor is still listed and is the default???

Thanks for that David, yes I was referring to the monitor settings.
Display is showing current monitor and resolution is correct etc. - I've looked everywhere to try to do this, maybe it's not possible in Win7?

Well, you do have an AMD GPU in your specs.
Have you looked in CCC for adjustments that might fix this?

When I have problems like this, that's one place i look for making adjustments.

CCC is AMD's Catalyst Control Center.
It's for making adjustments beyond what the built in Windows screen adjustments can do...

I need to move the horizontal position; currently if I 'auto adjust' the image it moves to one side and I have to manually adjust the monitor to bring it back to center.
Does that mean your screen image is not the full size of your monitor?

Thanks for the clarification, I'll have a look.

Ref. Quote - the screen image is the full size for the monitor, but it shifts off screen to the left and leaves a black margin on the RHS.

Is there anything you need to do in the monitor settings to save your changes ?
I've made adjustments on many monitors and for me it was always a pita to figure out the hardware and how to use the buttons...
I never had Llyama monitor...

Adjusting display position update for AMD Crimson

Here's how to access the Screen positional facility with Crimson (was Catalyst), which I've had trouble finding in the past.
Open Radeon settings from the Task bar.
Click Preferences (along the bottom edge).
Click Radeon Additional Settings.
Move and/or size your display position with mouse on the diagram.
Click Apply.
