Solved How to change the drive letter in a dual boot computer

Why do you care about sound in a VM ? It will sound the same as your host OS.

A VM only uses a generic plug and play video driver, if it doesn`t support AERO there`s nothing you can do about that.

What do you want to say with that? The video driver is responsible for the sound?
Aero works well, but only if Media Player is working on the background of the guest (Vista x86 has a base score of 4.1 and x64 has a 4.3 one).I have to do something in a VM that needs sound. That's why I want to know how. When I was watching a DVD in the VM,sound was a disappointment. It had crackles and it was distorted.

Most modern VMs should support Aero. Aero runs fine for me in VMware Player and VirtualBox, as long as you install the proper stuff afterward, VMware Tools or Guest Additions (VirtualBox). Same for the sound.

Can you understand what I say? Aero doesn't have any problems,if Media Player is working and Tools are installed. But sound still has distortions.I want to know how to fix it (don't give the VMware article which says select 24 bit 44100 Hz,I have done that).

I'm not sure when this went from dual booting to virtual machines... but, what do you mean by distortions?

When I say distortions you can understand what I mean with that word. For example, the DVD,while it was playing, the sound had crackles,as if you had a blue screen.Yeah, the sound will sound like that.See a YouTube video named "Windows Vista sure likes Blue" and you will hear that sound. Then you will see what happens.
I think you know that a blue screen won't occur.

If you want to know about the situation, sound is still distorted (in VMware).

I'm not sure what would cause sound distortion in VMware... it's never given me problems.

Let me tell you something about VirtualBox.Aero doesn't work (with enabled transparency). It glitches a lot. This was the first virtualization program I used. That's why I don't use VirtualBox anymore.Disabled transparency is a little better, but I want the full experience.

That's what I wanted you not to tell me.I have done this but nothing is better.

I just wanted to find a solution to have Vista on my computer, but I can't dual boot Vista and 8.It just gives a 0x0000001E blue screen during booting. You can find this thread in Vista Forums,General Discussion, then select the one called "Lenovo G580 20150 compatibility".7Enter is me,just different name in that forum. You can see more details there.

Did you see it? That's what happens if I try to install Vista SP1 on this laptop.

Installation goes well at copying files... Then it expands the install.wim file until 20% which reboots at this point.Windows Boot Manager shows up up,I select Windows Setup and... There it is! A blue screen! With 82 numbers and letters! 0x0000001e(0xfffffffc00000005,0xfffff800014b1cc7,0x0000000000000000,0xffffffffffffffff)

Vacant place?
Anyway, installed Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard and will try to use Hyper-V. I have already upgraded Windows 8.1 to Pro. My desires didn't come true with it. Hyper-V doesn't have Aero for Vista SP2,Server 2008 or 7
Virtual machines I have:

Windows Server 2003 SP2 x86
Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
Windows 7 SP1 x64

I am willing to try again but you're going to need to stay focused on the steps. When I last left you had veered off into another direction about sound in a VM. and now are asking about installing Vista. But I was in the middle of trying to figure out why your Greek Win7 DVD would not boot.

I have many others to help as I handle most of these install failure cases on the web so if you want help it will most definitely get installed like it always has for tens of thousands of others, but you must cooperate and focus on the task at hand.

I had asked you if you had tried to boot the Greek DVD in another PC and you replied you had tried it to to install to two virtual players. But these are on the same PC. Have you tried the DVD in another PC?

I had asked you if you had extracted the ISO from the DVD using ImgBurn following tutorial I linked which you ignored, then burned it to DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed, which you never answered.

When you put the DVD in the drive does it offer you a choice for UEFI DVD drive to boot in the BIOS Boot menu? When you choose the DVD to boot does it prompt to "Press any key to boot disk?"

When you attempt to Dual Boot Vista does it offer a UEFI DVD drive choice to boot? What happens when you choose it?

Please post back the answers to each of these questions and a screenshot of Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image

Not clear what you want.

Do you need greek Win7 iso inc sp1?

64 or 32 bit?

Or do you just need winre.wim greek for system recovery options in greek?

Yes,I have tried on another PC and it does nothing different. It's unbootable.

The new English SP1 DVD is UEFI bootable. It has an option:
EFI BIOS:PLDS: DVD-DS8ASH.When I press it,it says press any key to boot from CD or DVD...

Vista does not give any UEFI option, only BIOS.It's the Digital River ISO.
For the other one:
I wanted Vista to dual boot with 8.1(preinstalled is 8) but I can't because of the blue screen which has different sources every time.I want Greek ISO with SP1,always 64 bit(UEFI system will crash because 32 bit is supported only in BIOS and the drive is GPT).I want the Advanced Options andRecovery to be Greek in x64.
