How to change the Netbios name?

I am not sure how this happened, but Windows suddenly gave me a bizarre name. I would like to change it.

How would I be able to do this? Thanks

That still doesn't remove the name in the Netbios and other computers see that name, not the PC Name.

As such, I'd like to rename the Netbios name. Is there a way to do so? Perhaps registry edit?

Use:

ipconfig /flushdns
nbtstat -R

from an Elevated Command Prompt, to clear the Name Caches. Make sure the parameter -R is upper case, as the command nbstat is case sensitive.

Just an update. No, that didn't work either. I got the successfully purged message.

I copied and pasted exactly as what was written above. It's really annoying my BT headphones keep on saying connected to QTxxx or looking for the name of the Netbios name.
