Simple Software

Hi NFSworld,

On creating your simple software, it all depends on what language that you want to use. With the boxes that you are talking about, that sounds like VB6 or Java. I myself use C++ in which Dev C++ or Quincy are both free and excellent programs in which to create and compile "C" and/or "C++" programs. I use VB6, Java Blue and both of the C++ compiler's. VB6 is a program that you after to pay the full retail price and the Java (Blue), Quincy and Dev C++ are freeware. All are very powerful programs.

if all you want to do is calculation and conversion, and general "working with numbers", using a spreadsheet program like Excel from Microsoft's Office packet, or its free alternatives like Liberoffice's Calc or Math sound much much much easier than learning to code any program from scratch.
