how to deal with photo files Type 1 and Type 2

I found a few pix in my files that I want to edit with Photoshop. I can't open them in PS because they are Type 1 or Type 2. When I try to open them, PS says they are .jpg.1 or. jpg.2. How do I get rid of the .1 and .2 so they become normal JPG photo files?

I can look at them with Windows Photo Viewer but I can't figure out how to convert them to normal JPG files.

open them in paint and then "save as" png that will do it

save them on C drive.
click windows button + r
or start command..
and then cmd
now write cd\
make sure you in the place of the picture.
rename pic1.jpg.1 pic1.jpg

Open computer window. go to Organize - Folder and search options. Folder options will open.

Go to View tab. In the Advanced Settings remove the checkmark on
"Hide extensions for known file types."

Click Apply / OK and close the window. Now you can see the complete extensions of all the files in windows explorer.

Go to the file in question, highlight it and press function key F2 (or right click on the filename and select Rename). This will allow you to rename the file including the extension. Remove the period and the numeral after "JPG".

Thanks all. I used the Paint method before I got the other 2 methods. Paint worked.

i think the rename of the file extension from rrarod would have been the easiest method .
