how to delete an item from my computer

hi guys,after installing nero .one icon appeared at my computer is named nero scout. how can i remove it?

If simple delete doesn't work and run as admin doesn't work. take ownership and delete. Is it being used by a nero service? You could reboot in safe mode and try to delete it, and if all of these dont work let me know I have a suggestion to nuke it

nero scout is the main reason i abandoned nero...

also i would advise running msconfig and services.msc to stop the extra nero services from running...

look for these: NMBgMonitor.exe and NMIndexStoreSvr.exe and nuke them

actually i would advise nuking nero completely, unless you've got a compelling reason to keep it.

why a cd burning program has to constantly scan and index your drives, eating cpu and ram 100% of the time, is beyond me.

i like and use cdburnerxp - it does everything a cd burning app should do, and no more - only a free 3 MB download. don't be put off by the name, it works fine with 7.

run regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace \

delete the {3D6BE802-FC0D-4595-A304-E611F97089DC} key

nero scout won't run at next reboot
