How to disable the "resuming windows" screen after sleep

I have WIN 7, and it wakes hard from sleep. at least if i could change the splash screen "resuming windows" because the bright white in the middle blinds me.
I have WIN 8 on another computer and it wakes at once, on the push of the power button, no splash screen.
Do i have to suffer it from WIN 7? is there a way to prevent the "resuming windows" part?

The Windows 7 computer is coming out of hibernation.

The Windows 8 computer is coming out of sleep.

Change the power settings on the Windows 7 computer so that it only goes to sleep.

I had the option to put the computer to sleep on the "choose what the power button does" but now the sleep command is dimmed and only the hybernation (shut down and do nothing) option is available.
I read that my display adapter doesn't allow sleep. i downloaded the display adapter from the Lenovo site but it didn't help.
In the display adapters in control panel there are 2 listed:
Intel HD Graphics 4000
Standard VGA Adapter
There is a yellow alarm on the Standard VGA Adapter. i am afraid if i disable the Intel adapter i won't see anything

Please add the laptop's model number to your system specs. Then I can look around for the configuration options. Maybe you have a graphics card.

I added: Lenovo IdeaPad S400 Model 9630
I read that my VGA driver is the cause but i can't find how to reinstall a good one. i uninstalled the old one, that was marked with a yellow exclamation mark in Control Panel, restarted and again it appeared with the yellow mark

I have not located any info about the hardware specifications yet...

On page 26, it mentions Smart Shutdown.
Do you have a shortcut like that on the Start menu?

I installed the RegistryWizard program that installed a second driver for the display, an AMD driver.
Now it's O.K., the sleep is back.
Can it be there are 2 display cards?

Yes. In this case, one AMD based card and one Intel based GPU built into the CPU.

How come the Lenovo site doesn't offer all the drivers? there are still 3 exclamation marks in Device Manager and DriverAgent can't install appropriate drivers. i even don't know for which devices they are since aside 2 of them it's written Unknown Device

Maybe Lenovo does not support their products well after they have your money :-(

I would avoid using software like DriverAgent and RegistryWizard.

Make a new thread in this forum http://www.sevenforums.com/drivers/ and see if some one knows how to help you.

I installed all the drivers and now sleep is available in the start button. i set that the power button will execute sleep when i press it but still the laptop wakes from hybernation.
