How to drag windows off the screen on the top?

I turned off the feature that maximize windows when I tried to drag 'em off screen. But now I can only drag windows off screen from the side, not the top... Why is that? :rolleyes:

I guess Microsoft just won't let you do this...kinda makes sense, since you would have no way of grabbing the window again if its top bar was out of reach (including the minimize/restore/close buttons).
Still, it would be neat - but it would require that all windows can be grabbed anywhere, and by default this isn't so.
