I don't believe it is possible. As far as I know, the sound card can only output one channel at a time. I don't know to much about the specifics of audio cards so I am assuming.

I have three systems listed in the specs area. My main desktop and my secondary desktop that was my previous build. The last one (in all the sections) is my Lenovo laptop.

Thanks for your interest in my machines! :)
You need a usb sound card , they are available from amazon for as little as 6 pounds , I use one for mixing music on virtual dj

Here's the trick to do it (and it's been verified on 3 other Win 7 systems):
1) R click on your speaker icon, select 'Recording Devices' (if you have the sounds dialog up, it's the 2nd tab 'Recording')
2) R click in the white space, be sure that BOTH "show disabled devices" AND "show disconnected devices" are checked.
3) **Now this step is going to take a little bit of thought for each computer being used: on my laptop (HP Elitebook) I get a device "Stereo Mix", ENABLE this device.
4) Click on Properties, go to the tab 'Listen'
5) Check the box "Listen to this device", also change the drop-down box below "Playback through this device" to be your second audio device
-- To verify that you've done this correctly, go back to the Sound dialog tab Playback, you should now see both of your audio devices showing the little green graphs moving.

OK it worked thank you. Now is there a way to control the volume of them independently?

I just used Amir4's instructions in order to use speakers and a MusicLite device on my Windows 8 PC. However, there is a slight delay between the speakers and the remote device. Any ideas on how to eliminate the delay?

I spotted this recently dlving into sub-menus on my realtek studio icon.
AMD Sabertooth M/board - Win 7 ultimate

right click (black & white) spkr icon on taskbar > Sound Manager
On panel that appears click top left blue button > "Device advanced settings"
In the options it gives you the choice to
"make front and rear audio output devices play TWO different audio streams - simultaneously"

Might help someone trying to get this up and running.

Well, on your headphones you have a potentiometer (at least i had on my last 10, lol ), and you have two buttons on your lap top. Yes, it's possible to change the volume independently with hardware changes, no software ;) :D
