Hi there

for developing purpose i need the ctrl+space shortcut. unfortunately it is already used by windows itself to switch to the chinese input language. i already deactivated all keyboard layouts except the one i need and deactivated all "Hotkeys for input language" but the chinese language still appears in the language bar (and ctrl+space still switches to it).
and it seems that i can not install/unistall any language packs because i am using the home premium version of windows.
so what to do? how can i get rid of the chinese language, that i do not use anyway!

hope someone can help!

Simon

Someone must have set it that way. On my systems, CTL+Space brings up nothing. Did that PC come from China?

well, this problem seems to exist since the XP generation, as a google search mentions (but seems to occur just on the home edition because of the lack of the ability to install/uninstall IME language packs). unfortunately no one published a solution for it yet!

of course i did already disable the chinese keyboard as well as i did remove every keyboard shortcut to switch the language in the regional settings.
