how to install UMBus Root Bus Enumerator

Can someone tell me how I can install manually the UMBus Root Bus Enumerator in Windows 7? I was instructed to uninstall it which I did but was then told to reinstall it manually. Can someone help? Thank you.

To add the UMBus Root Bus Enumerator back try the following:

Go to Device Manager > Action > Add legacy hardware > Next > Install the hardware that I manually select from a list > Next > click on "System Devices" > Next > then under "Manufacturer" click on "Microsoft" then under "Model" click on "UMBus Root Bus Enumerator" > Next > Next

Restart the computer and the UMBus Root Bus Enumerator should reinstall.

prolific usb driver is a common problem but it could also be card reader> I have similar problem and ran a driver utility and it had a red x at the card reader so I think we are in the same boat
