How to remove "trovi" addware

I HAVE installed a new crucial ssd m240 gig c drive,my files are kept seperat on another internal hard drive.
heres the chronology:
I did a clean win 7 install ,and all was ok, untill i downloaded avast ,Free version,thru ie browser. then I downloaded chrome to use as default browser. went back to desktop screen, left clicked the newley created CHROME icon and got instead a search window called 'trovi ' with some obnoxious flashing advertisement. i went to amazon site, to test, and navagation from page to page was like mud, one time it sat at blank screen and "redirected" for 45 minutes.
Nowi have done the f10 command prompt thing at the language screen,( it worked for me) and did a 'clean"
which cleared out the 3 old.windows files from c drive and looks like it removed one partition.
To clear took only i second 'very quick,
NOW THE QUESTION IS??
IF i do the f10 thing again and use "clear all" prompt, will this kill trovi, because after the last attempt using only clear, iI still have it.
or am i looking in the wrong place... ??

Where did you download the chrome browser ? I have seen some of the chrome download sites adding EXTRAS to the program ..

are u telling me that trovi came with chrome download? if that is so then cleaning hd will not help,where should i get chrome from,is there more than one way to download it??

Trovi could of came with the download . Did you download chrome from here https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/ ?
Trovi is not a actually a virus , more a adware issue . It can be removed with the instructions (LINK) that I have provided .

Removing the suspicious programs, browser extensions and change the search provider may help get rid of Trovi.com. You can set the Chrome search provider with the following steps:
1. Click the “≡” icon on the Chrome browser toolbar

2. Select Settings

3. Click Manage Search engines under Settings.

4. Point to Trovi.com and click the X mark to remove it then click Done button.

If the method doesn't work, you can try Malwarebytes anti-malware or other malware removal tools to fix the problem.
