How to remove $WINDOWS.~Q file after repair install

Have the subject file ($WINDOWS.~Q) in my C: folder....how do you totally remove this...and what is it exactly ?

Hello Tim,

The C:\WINDOWS.~Q folder is part of Files discarded by Windows upgrade. You can use Disk Cleanup to remove it.

Thanks as always fir the quick response Brink...have tried that and it was not removed...will try again and post back...

Did you reboot after running Windows 7 disc cleanup. You will notice a slight delay on reboot while the clean up is being done.
