Solved How to undo the open with always

My friend forgot to un-check the always open with box while opening a file
And now his computer is all messed up, all the files open with media player.He tried to right click on the program and then open with and uncheck the always open with
but it didn't work.It just opened with media player when he clicked open with

open with problems

When I right click on a picture/video the "open with" option does not appear. Does anyone know how to get this option back?
