I compressed the hard drive on my, HP nc6120 notebook, the next day I cut laptop on & got a black screen that says NACDM is compressed Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart; but all it does is come back to the same screen. I created a repair disc from another PC tuning Win7, put the disc in tried system restore no change, tried repair fix start up it says no problems found and does nothing else. Didn't have any problems till I compressed the hard drive trying to save space. Can anyone help or at least tell me what NACDM means?

Try the same steps here to uncompress C drive which makes Win7 unbootable: BootMGR Compressed Message at Boot Fix - Vista Forums

If you are ready for a fresh start without the HP bloatware which is the worst install one can have of Win7, consider doing what most tech enthusiasts do to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 and experience native Win7 performance for the first time on your PC.

Everything needed is in the blue link. You'll have a perfect install as long as you stick with the steps, tools and methods in the tutorial.

I will try that. Thank you for answering my question.
