I have a HP Photosmart C4140. The printer came with an installation CD. I plugged the printer in, then ran the CD. I then turned on the printer and it was recognized.
Thanks.
HP Photosmart C4140, isn't that a fairly new model?
The reason I am asking is that HP does not support printers, etc. for more than 4 years.
I found that out the hard way by giving my HP photosmart 1115 to my daughter because
I no longer needed it and she did. I found out they did not produce a Vista driver for it.
I bought if for an older XP machine and it worked like a charm, but it is now useless because
she had Vista and not XP. I had looked for the windows 7 drivers for the C3180 earlier and
did not see them. I searched this forum and found this thread and searched for the driver and
found it. I was just curious if anyone got it to work for the C3180. I cannot remember how old
it is and I do not want to have to buy another model just because HP does not offer the
windows 7 driver for it.
I am about to dual boot my system with Vista and Windows 7. If no one else reports back about the C3180,
I will when I get a chance to verify if it works.
