Solved I can "Pin to Taskbar," but it doesn't appear on the taskbar

Hi,

I am new to SevenForums and really don't know much about it... so please be nice if I did something wrong.

So... I accidentally deleted the Windows Explorer icon on my taskbar. I went over to
C:\Windows, right clicked the explorer application, and re-pinned it. It didn't show up. I tried pinning other things, like Paint and Snipping Tool, and those don't show up either. I went to %AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar, everything is in there, including explorer. I restarted my computer twice and explorer still isn't there. Everything shows up fine on other users.

Hello TechyNarwhal, and welcome to Seven Forums.

It sounds like your pinned taskbar items may be corrupted. You can use the tutorial below to reset and clear your pinned taskbar items to fix this, but you'll have to "Pin to taskbar" everything you want again.

Thanks! I had changed the IsShortcut value to AriochIsShortcut to remove shortcut arrows. A youtube tutorial told me to.

Changing or deleting IsShortcut breaks "Pin to taskbar".

TechyNarwhal a little 20/20 hind sight.
If one doesn't follow the tutorial recommend exactly, they will fall into problems.
Please keep this in mind when following other tutorials on this forum.
You will thank yourself for doing so.
