Solved I can't update PXI Hardware HID Complaint Device in windows update

Ok got that I have a similar update feature with my Microsoft Sidewinder x6 KB in that it has Windows updates I would have thought that Xbox being Microsoft it should all flip into place easily like my KB??
Now it is not that they come often but do when I install it again for problems as like recently I installed a new 27" monitor and it threw everything into a bit of a flap and I found I had to uninstall the KB stuff and reinstall it and yes it updated and away it went.

Also have you contacted Microsoft re this issue? It is worth a try. Now to be honest I am not a fan of the Windows feature re updating I always go to the manufacturer if there is a problem or as a matter of fact.

I don't know if you have seen this I pulled it up on a Google from out for the US and I have opened it out to this.

How to Update Your Xbox 360 whether this is for an initial installation I am not sure but I would be trying it.

The box I assume is connected via USB? but in any case whatever the input maybe updating the drivers for that input source is in order.

The link you provided is to update our xbox console, And I went to the Microsoft answer forum got one answer that didn't help. What KB do I have to uninstall for the xbox controller

Ok mate sorry about that now I ma not a great fan of the Fixit feature but take a red of this it doe tell you about an update to load subsequent updates and the updates that follow.

None of those links helped me unfortunately. BTW do you have a Xbox controller if you do tell me if it works on your pc because if it does maybe you can upload the driver files for me

Hum you got me there Cryptic I am an old(ish) fellow and haven't gamed for years now - my son on the other hand has but he is hard to get hold of.

What I could do is maybe download the driver for the US or maybe the Australian site might have it driver and send it via an attachment in a message if I can do that watch out for a mail with your thread and at the very top you will see
"Your Notifications" and a number is red of how many there are.

Give me a little while mate as I am snowed under with mails and people from town calling me as I have been away for a while. Will see what I can do.

I actually have the driver but it seems not to work. But you should send me a version of the driver anyway maybe it might work.

Ok mate it took a darn long time to load as an attachment and it is a zip so you will need to unzip it I did try the application itself but it obviously is too much info at once.

Thats the same driver I have when I installed it it said this software is already installed. I'm thinking it has to do with the PXI HID compiland device update

Ok I wasn't holding my breath on that one to be honest. The thing that I don't understand is why the controller works on the other machines. Now they would have to have that update or they wouldn't work the Xbox I am reasoning.
Now a search for it is going to be painfully slow but if you can find it then it can be got via Google I am guessing. If you can remember about what time you started using Xbox on one of those it might make it a bit easier.
I did try looking for ways of searching for specific updates but nothing that is going to be of use.

Ok mate just run either of these they will tell you exactly what board you are using
HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download
Speccy - Download
see pics and just click on motherboard in both or just one if you like the HW Info (click on the small cross at left) will give you an enormous amount of info on that motherboard as it will with any of the components. Click on motherboard and Speccy will alsos give a lot of detail but less than HW Info.
